My take:

I’ve used the CXE, the PXE and the Talon X1 and they are all exceptional.

They excel at control and spin, as the unique texture helps grab the ball and generate spin.

The Silent Storm SS1 has the same texture and is insanely cheap – great for beginner or intermediate players.

My Best picks from this brand:

• Talon X1 – Power, control, spin, touch, quiet (disorient your enemy!) – this one has it all
• PXE – Basically just a cheaper version of the Talon – slightly smaller sweet spot, but a great paddle and compares to much pricier paddles

Who should use this code:

Anyone who loves to spin and wants the added fun of having your opponents say things like “I hate when you use that paddle, the sound messes me up!” and also anyone with tennis elbow!

As “small business” as it gets! Based out of Calgary, this Canadian startup is currently run just 2 people! They only have 1 paddle currently, with a second coming in Spring 2026 (Gen 4 foam paddle!) but the paddle they offer was meticulously designed, tested and re-designed by the owners.

Their “Revolution Pro 1” is a standard shape paddle resulting in a bigger sweet spot for more consistent play! It also has an extremely gritty carbon fiber face and an elongated handle.

Le Cornichon’s Revolution 1 is currently my recommended paddle for any player, not only because it’s from a small Canadian business, but because the quality is just there! It’s the one I’m personally using!

My take:

I’ve used the Havoc M3, Slingshot and their newest Gen 5 (yes, Gen 5!)paddle – the Rocket!

Poach doesn’t just do what everyone else does, they innovate. The unique grit on the Havoc M3 is proof enough of that.

My Best picks from this brand:

• Rocket – Forget about the Boomstik – this Gen 5 triple layer foam paddle matches or outdoes the Gen 4 Boomstik on every metric. Amazing power but great touch and a HUGE sweet spot make it suitable for ANY level player.
• Havoc M3 – Unique control paddle with great color options and fun to play with. If a foam paddle isn’t for you, this is my next pick.

My take:

I’ve spent decent money on Amazon or Sports store “court” shoes but they are not made for Pickleball.

My first time wearing Pickleball shoes (both Acacia and Tyrol) I immediately noticed the ankle support.

Over time I have also noticed that the rubber holds up on even the roughest courts (Crosscourt, am I right?!)

• ProShot – very good ankle support and the black ones go with anything. The Royal blue are also a deep, luxurious blue color
• Tyler or Corrine Signature – Basically the same shoe but the Tyler is the men’s version while the Corrine is the women’s – similar to the ProShots but a “step up” and some nice color options.

My take:

I’ll be the first to admit – these are overpriced.

I eventually got my pair after I got tired of my glasses fogging up. I tried popping the lenses out of multiple pairs of sunglasses and safety glasses and found the ball could still reach my eye through them or they partially blocked my vision.

I eventually decided, while these are pricey and honestly a bit goofy looking, they work and I play a lot of pickleball so they’d be worth it long term.

• Slim Fits – I’d never have thought a slim fit would be what I need but these do fit me well and I prefer them over the larger fit
• Fun colors – they are always releasing new colors. You can go standard to try and make them not stand out, or embrace the blockers and get bold fun colors!

Who should use this code:

Everyone who values their eyesight! Seriously, damaging or even losing an eye is not worth it! If conventional safety glasses bother you with fog and/or glare, these are the ticket!

A Canadian company, simply called “SOLE” offers custom moldable insoles for better support on the court.

These aren’t spongy, fluffy inserts. They are stiff, because you don’t need cushion, you need support so your arches don’t collapse.

Unlike generic inserts, these insoles mold to your foot – either just through time, or you can heat them up a bit in your oven and stand on them for a quicker custom mold.

A fraction of the price of custom orthotics with all the benefits, and your feet, ankles, knees hips and back will thank you!

My recommendation is the Active medium insoles. If you prefer the natural and more eco friendly cork option, they should be great too but reports are they wear out quicker.

PB Vision is a website/app that uses AI to analyze your games!

You can upload your games and it will give you an estimated DUPR rating for each game. While this can be valuable, I personally find the other insights it gives you much more valuable as it will show you shot quality, accuracy, your strengths and weaknesses, your play style and more!

They are also now integrating with Chat GPT so you can download an analysis and upload it to Chat GPT to get plain English insights into your game.

The rating is useful, but more useful in seeing how you stack up against your opponents than anything else.

It does have a generous amount of free “minutes” of AI analysis, but if you really like it, a subscription gives you lots more. If you spend any money on coaching or clinics, then their yearly subscription will likely be well worth it to you.
