Bread & Butter has always struck me as a brand with a little more personality than the average paddle company. Their designs are distinctive, but they aren’t relying on aesthetics alone. The FILTH and LOCO lines have developed their own followings and the current lineup includes multiple shapes and configurations. Their approach to paddle design feels more willing to experiment than simply following whatever happens to be popular at the moment.
The FILTH is probably the paddle most people will encounter first, and it makes sense as the brand’s flagship line. The different shapes give players some flexibility in finding the combination of reach, sweet spot and maneuverability they prefer. The LOCO takes things in a somewhat different direction, making it particularly interesting for players who want to experiment with paddle shape and feel rather than simply buying another standard elongated paddle.
What I like most about Bread & Butter is that the brand actually has an identity. There are plenty of technically impressive paddles on the market, but a lot of brands can start to blur together. B&B manages to stand out while still taking the performance side seriously, and I think that’s a pretty good combination for players who want something a little less ordinary.
Who Should Consider Vatic Pro?
Bread & Butter is worth considering if you want a modern performance paddle but also care about distinctive designs and a brand with its own identity. The FILTH is particularly well established, while the LOCO offers several shape options for players looking for something different.
